After managing the Candlewood Homeowners Association Swim Club since 1964, Jim Jannarone and Bob Breuche bought the facility from US Homes Corp. in April 1977. The facility was renamed Candlewood Swim and Racquet Club, which became the parent company for Candlewood Management Services, Inc. After operating family oriented swim clubs for two years, Candlewood ventured into the condominium association field. In 1979, Candlewood signed contracts with three communities for swimming pool management, and each of these associations continues to have their pool managed by Candlewood.

in 1986, with the client base up to 38, Steve Jannarone became the General Manager and Candlewood Management Service was incorporated. The following year, Kevin Breuche arrived as partner and became the Manager of Candlewood's Service Division. In 1989, Mark Jannarone joined the company as controller and property manager.

Today, Candlewood is able to offer full service to all of its clients through a comprehensive service department, and a team that works to keep Candlewood the leader in quality pool management.
