After managing the Candlewood Homeowners Association established in 1964, Jim Jannarone and Bob Breuche purchased the facility from the U.S. Homes Corp. in April of 1977. The facility was renamed Candlewood Swim and Racquet Club, The predecessor of Candlewood Management Services, Inc.

After operating family-oriented swim clubs for two years, Candlewood ventured into condominium association pool management. In 1979 Candlewood signed pool management contracts with Society Hill of Old Bridge, Barclay Woods and Greenbriar I. Today, these valued clients still turn to Candlewood for their pool management needs.

In 1986 Steve Jannarone became the General Manager of Candlewood Management Service, Incorporated.  The following year Kevin Breuche joined on as partner and became the Manager of Candlewood's Service division.  In 1989 Mark Jannarone joined Candlewood as the Controller and Property Manager.

Today the five partners work together to keep Candlewood on the leading edge of quality pool management.
